A Work in Progress: Pixel Fan(atic)

step 1 of 9

First step involved creating the fan mesh. This was done by first creating the outer rings as toruses.
Following this the vertical straight rings were added.
The final curved rings were copies of the straight rings then has a nonlinear bend applied to them.

They are coloured by a MIA material x - Chrome shader

The fan blades are a shaped plane that then has a non linear twist added to them.
The other 3 blades are rotated duplicates.

They are shaded by a standard MIA material x.

The motor is a stretched and deformed sphere that had the engine nodes extruded in.

It is shaded by a MIA material x.

The rings are chrome shaded toruses.

Inside the motor a black sphere was added to colour the inside.

The stand is a half sphere that has been extruded to make the stand.

The background is 3 shaded planes

The shader for the logo is a layered shader as shown.
