step 1 of 15

Used Soft: Blender 3D

Create a Cube.

Creation of Glas Flower: Step 1

step 2 of 15

Add "Subdivision Surface" Modifier, divide it to 3 or 4. D'ont apply. Hit Tab-key and make a Petal Shape like this...

Creation of Glas Flower: Step 2

step 3 of 15

Add a "Bezier Curve". You will use this to curve the Petal. Add an "Curve" Modifier on the Petal an choose the "BezierCurve" as the object, it will act as path. Select the X direction.

Creation of Glas Flower: Step 3

step 4 of 15

This is what the Petal should look after this operations...

Creation of Glas Flower: Step 4

step 5 of 15

The middle knob will be a simple sphere scaled to have a flat looking sphere.

Creation of Glas Flower: Step 5

step 6 of 15

Add an "Solidify" Modifier to the Petal with the thickness set to -0.05. This will give a more polished look to the shapes.

Creation of Glas Flower: Step 6

step 7 of 15

Now, copy (Shift+D) the Petal and Rotate it to start making a Flower.

Creation of Glas Flower: Step 7

step 8 of 15

Copy the Petals, rotate and size them a little down. The Flower should look like this for now...

Creation of Glas Flower: Step 8

step 9 of 15

Switch to "Cylcles Render", and set the world background to "Sky Texture". This will give the whole scene a realistic light. You can even modify the light influence, by moving the spot located on the sphere. It acts as the sunlight... Try a little bit, to see what happens...

Creation of Glas Flower: Step 9

step 10 of 15

To get more smooth Petals, add another "Subdivision Surface" Modifier to all the Petals. You can do this before you copy the first Petal... (I didn't, so I had to select everyone seperately)

Creation of Glas Flower: Step 10

step 11 of 15

For the stem, create a cylinder, subdivide it, and proceed as for the Petals, by using a "BezierCurve" to bend it...

Creation of Glas Flower: Step 11

step 12 of 15

Now for the leaves. Create a cube, and proceed the same as for the Petals : Subdivide, don't apply, shape it as a leave this time.

Creation of Glas Flower: Step 12

step 13 of 15

Here is my finished leave...

I applied the Subdivide-modifier, and picked some mesh-point, moved them sidewards and forewards, to give it a more leave-like look.

Creation of Glas Flower: Step 13

step 14 of 15

This is what my Flower looked after all this. For the material now: Simply apply the Glas material (select object, click on "Use node" in the Material-editor). This will do a good job. I prefered to change the refraction-index to 1,8 for my render. Play around with this to see what happens. (Select "Rendered" in the Views instead of "Wireframe" or "Solid", you will get an preview of the materials...)

Creation of Glas Flower: Step 14

step 15 of 15

And at last, the final render:

(Ok, due to "Cycles Rendering", it can take some time... 2 hours for me. This depends how powerful your PC or Mac is...)
