Created the Pot in 3D Studio Max. It is a lathed spline with Mental Ray texture applied.

The "rainbow" is a gradient filled shape.2 layers of shape set at Multiply layer blend mode. One of the layers has an outer glow effect. I smudged on the edges of the rainbow some and masked out some of the outer glow. Shading and shadowing done with gradients and brush. Layer masking used to extract/blend the Leprechaun , the gold and the pot.
