I make the banjo neck profile by extruding it from a box.

I then profile the side of the neck and chamfer it to get the rounded shape.

I make the end of the neck by sweeping a line in the profile of the neck as viewed from front of the banjo then retopograph it.

I then weld the two part together to complete the banjo neck

I start working on the banjo body base ring. by Extruding a cylinder to shape then deleting unneeded facets. then I apply thickness modifier to get the final form of the base ring.

I made the banjo face, back side and top ring by extruding each part from a cylinder. made the top ring Hold down nuts from a 24 sided cylinder and adjusted it to be a 6 sided chamfered nut. I made the Hold down Hooks by applying thickness modifier to a Spline.

I then get to work on the string tension plates. This is again using extrude box for the most part and Thickness modifier on a splines for the string. The pins are extruded from cylinders.

The entire string tensioner assembly is made from extruded cylinder. then adjusted the edge segments and points.

The banjo before being export from Hexagon to C4D

In C4D I merged the file from Hexagon. I added the walls, floor and Lights. I then Apply texture to the banjo and wall. I then Render out the image
