I drew the form of an 8 using the pen tool.

Here I used the burn and dodge tools to create shadows and highlights.

I began the drawing of the eyeball.

gave the eyeball some shadow/depth

drew what will become the iris of the eye.

added some color to the eye.

added the retina to the eye and some glare/reflection.

duplicated the figure, adjusted the eye a bit and began drawing hair using a regular brush and a mixer brush.

worked on the hair some more.

drew a tear coming from the male figure's eye and gave it some shadows and highlights. I also cut a heart shape out of the ice cube image I found. and placed it on the girl figure. I gave this ice cold heart some shadows and highlights. I also began to draw the male figures broken heart.

completed the males broken heart.
