step 1 of 8
First, yes, this is a 3d model and not photoshop. Thats allowed and the best way for me to make my model.
Stage 1, created the splines which I would use to lathe which creates the glass equipment
step 2 of 8
These are how the splines turn out when they have been placed in the lathe nurbs. Make the custom adjustments to ensure that they look realistic and are the correct scale.
step 3 of 8
duplicate these and then make adjustments on the heights and make it a little smaller and this way you have created the liquids.
step 4 of 8
for the smoke I used 2 emitters in the glass. Play around with the settings until you get the density and speed you want. Then add an environment with a volume tracer and a smoke particle to the emitter.
step 5 of 8
Used some cubes with filtered edges to create the bars. Pretty basic stuff. The materials on these and throughout the piece were from the inbuilt content browser.
step 6 of 8
Built the scene a little with a table and some walls.
step 7 of 8
Needed more detail so I added a bunch of spheres of different sizes inside the glass on the liquid level.
step 8 of 8
used 2 lights in this scene. 1 spot with causitcs and 1 omni for fill light. Both with soft shadows on.
Render with 4x AA, GI and AO.
All materials are from the content browser.
