Separate the door from the frame and remove the darkness. Remove the brass and handle with clone brush and smudge.

Place the background and use a diffuse glow as well as play with the remove noise to make it look dreamy and fantasy like.

Colorize the door a very desaturated orange. Add a shadow to the left side. Blue the left side door edge a little to make it look like there is bright light behind it.
Brighten up the right side and add a shadow on the very side away from the opening. Use and omni light to further brighten it.
Lastly add a lens flare and fix exposure levels and vibrance to make the world inside the door very bright and colorful.
