Background has been chopped out so that just the barn and horse/rider are left.

Original source photo is added on layer behind the silhouette but not merged.

With color adjustment tool and brightness/contrast tool, the greens are being added.

Grassy area on background has been removed with lasso tool and color changed, then added back over background layer. Top layer (silhouette) has had red/yellows added using color change adjustment tools to bring up reddish and brown tones to warm up the blacks there.

Sky has been painted in with soft brush tool, and contrasts have been brought up on the trees and grassy area outside fence.

Here the sky has been lightened with the dodge tool, and yellow and blue filters have been added over merged image.
