Modeled saucer with lathed spline, a sphere and a cylinder using 3d Max.

rendered the saucers and masked the jpg in photoshop. Added some surface reflections of the clouds and grass to them with clone stamp and opacity adjustments. Put a drop shadow FX on them Dodged and burnt them some.
