Make 1/2 of brush... general shape.

Mirror along x and smooth.

Thicken geometry. More smoothing. Define area for brush cushion.

Add brush cushion.

Make single bristle so as to replicate it on the brush cusion. I ended up scaling the bottom a wee bit smaller (at the base of the bristle)

Replicate the bristles, set up the scene.
