'Legs' chopped from source photo

Legs are duplicated, flipped vertically, then layers joined together. Cloning tool is used to form knee knobs.

From building in source, back is formed with liquify warp used to pull out feather shapes.

Head is shaped here from the same building source.

Neck is shaped from another section removed from source photo. Liquify warp shapes is, the noise is added. Lump from swallowing the apple will be made using liquify bloat tool.

Head is finished here, adding an eye with brush tools, some eyelashes with smudge tool, and shadows and highlights are started using the burn and dodge tools.

Background has been added here. First it was desaturated, then some green and noise added. Branch is drawn in with brush tools, then shaded and highlighted with burn and dodge tools.

Some fallen apples have been added to ground and final touch ups to shadows and highlights.
