I cut out background then cut out fingers and thumb placing each on a separate layer to be able to work on easily.

I made the background blue to be able to see better, then with clone tool, drag tool and burn tool I began to build fingers

I continued to build and adjust using same tools
step 4 of 4
Then I used a picture I took of my late husband at an outdoor concert adding shading for effect. I adjusted brightness and contrast on the sculpture and the picture.
