Made copy of Source > Cut out Ball > Adjusted the curves setting on it to give it the blackened look And use elliptical tool to carve an 8 on the balls surface.

Place new blackened ball over the other so the concrete shows in the 8

Took picture of son at his desk.

Cut out his figure from picture, inverted and placed him as if he was on his back. Dropped opacity to 52% and places him in the shadow of the ball.
