Start of the diamond some people use 8 sided cylinders I prefer to use a 16 sided cone.

Lots of edge slicing involved in the stage, and the moving of vertices.

All the edge slicing done, bottom diamond is a straight ploy version know S.D.S, top diamond is WHAT happens when you convert a mesh to S.D.S with out adding either bevels / loop slices or edge weights so it holds its shape.

Micro bevels are added 1 um in size equal to 1/25400 inch as diamonds don’t have sharp edges….

Start of the ring using stranded tours primitive

Stand sphere is selected the highlighted polygons are to be saved for the top mounting the rest are deleted.

Was unhappy with the symmetry so one half was removed.

Mirrored the half I was happy with over and then bridged them together.
