I made the fairywings in Adobe Illustrator as a line drawing and painted them in Photoshop.
In this image I seperated the wings and rotated them on the back of the girl.
Also I had a black and white version which you can see on the wall

I made the butterflies in Cinema4D and imported them in Photoshop.
In this image I copied and transformed them a lot as well in the foreground as in the background in the frame

Here you see the layering of the the different groups I made.
The original image I copied and made the underlayer black and white. I then putted the wings on the wall and some brushstrokes.
I masked the color layer of the girl so that I could make the background with the wings and butterflies in the frame.
At last I made the layer with the outcoming butterflies.
