first with pen tool, extracted the tomato, and did a new layer with this image.

with the main tomato out, you have to reconstruct the background, so when you make your tomato cristal and transparent, you can see the background through it. I did this using the clone tool and imaginig how the background looks like.

used the main tomato to reconstruct the tomato in the back. this tomato must be seen through the main tomato.

choosed the main image.

open this image and select the bubble.

copy and paste it over the tomato

using free transform and warp. make the bubble take the form of the tomato. when done. use image- adjustment-desaturate, to make it black and white.

duplicate the desaturated layer and put it on overlay. take out the color tomato layer. and apply a mask to both layers. the normal and overlay. and using different size and opacity brushes. start to make it transparent.

this is how is looking like. after the mask.

put the layer tomato in color above all the layers. then desaturate this layer y apply overlay. then again duplicate this layer and again overlay but with opacity in 75%

choose the bubble and copy and paste.

with bubble above all layers, use free transform and warp. then put it on overlay with 65% opacity.
