A Work in Progress: Endless Iris

I used a large and small mason jar lid for the light ring and Christmas lights for the light source.

step 2 of 4

I drilled holes in the Mason jar lid and used hot glue to hold the lights in place, putting the smaller mason jar ring in the middle to support the lights. I used a towel and rubber bands to conceal the rest of the lights.

step 3 of 4

A small mason jar lid fits perfectly on the end of a standard Nikkor Nikon 18-55 lens. What luck is that?

I pointed the camera directly at a mirror to get the effect.
