I took a sphere and halved it.

After duplicating and mirroring it vertically, I connected it with an extruded arc abject

I then added the bottom cover in the bin mouth where trash is thrown. It can open up to allow trash to fall into the area below

To make the body frame, I created a curved spline and beveled and copied it. I added a ring at the bottom for the base.

A pre-made mesh was used for wheels and the body was made with a tapered, filleted cube. It was then split in two for the two parts. With point manipulation, I made the arms and added spheres for the hands.

Solar cells were created by selecting and extruding polygons.

Air holes in the head were made with an alpha map created in Photoshop

Extra models: The bench and tree were part of the software object library and used to recreate a park environment.

Textures: All textures (excluding air holes) were created by customizing materials in the software material library.
