first the curtains where I used a created gradient and played with the layer effects till it felt right.

I masked the source ro cut away the background this time only using the select refine edges.

bringing the cutout from the source into the new curtain image. I then duplicated the source image until the curtain area was completely covered. I played with the layer effects till It developed the glow I wanted.

Just for the experiance I create a vase in Illustrator and brought it back into Photoshop after saving it as a .pdf. the next step was to correct the colours and create a monotone of the sunflowers to use on the vase.

re cutting and patching the flowers. creating a shadow on the vase from a warped selection of the largest sunflower head - and its all done except for fiddling with the placement.
