used selection shown, warped into shape and duplicated several times, nudged and flipped to make shape.

again warped the shape made in previous step to make wings, added another source selection to fill wings

finished body, using same selection I decreased the size and brightness to make eyes
step 6 of 6
selected parts of the source to make other shapes, added reflections (not perfect due to time) & shadows.
