Start adding a red blood effect over the body with multiple brushes. warp and darken different areas in separate layers.

Use a large brush for the arm to make "cuts" pen tool for the shoulder and brush for the lower back gash. add small cuts with a small hard brush.
dodge and burn cuts to give depth. And lastly give a slight blur to body cuts keeping the face clean.
