According to tutorial, smudged skin for smoothing and giving a doll-like appearence. Smudged hair as well.

Using elipse tool, drew oval shapes (they will turn into joint - or divisions later).

Duplicated girl's image and put it over oval shapes layers. With eraser tool, removed some parts to reveal the "joints". Smudged more the skin.

With pen tool drew the joint strings. Applied bevel and emboss.

Now the strings that give movement to the puppet: using pen tool I drew lines for limbs and head.

Copied and pasted the chin; slided down a bit and drew lines.
