Created a quick sketch.

Started with the beak and the fish from the parts indicated.

Duplicated some parts to create the feathers.

Added more feathers.

Add even more feathers. Started work on the shadows.

Added a layer on top with 50% gray and mode 'Overlay'. Used the dodge and burn tools to create shadows and highlights.

Created background. Duplicated the key ring a coubple of times and applied motion blur to it.

Draw water drops on a new layer and applied following layer styles:
- drop shadow
- inner glow
- bevel and emboss
Then set the layer fill to 0% (this leaves only the layer styles).

Experimented with different settings.

Redid the blue feathers by transforming the part before copying. Also, aligned parts not in a straight line, but curved.

Flattened each group of feather layers and applied drop shadow layer style to the merge layers.

The result with the new feathers. Made some changes to the shadows/highlights, and waterdrops as well.
