Look in the first source for shapes to base the image on. This is the principle behind the final image. The sources are dissected into separate shapes and assembled back together.

Now, tear the bass guitar apart.

Now put some part together again. Some warping and clone stamping was neccessary to get closer to the 'ideal' shapes.

Also the steet scene is cut in pieces. Each piece gets a different treatment.
- building front: horiz. motion blur.
- building side: radial blur
- people: cutout filter
- pavement: no special treatment

Now everything together.

The image needed some finishing touches. Used some gradients, layer styles, and adjustment layers. Finally created a copy of the compete image on top and applied a radial blur. Then created a mask so the radial blur would only affect the edges of the image.
