I merged the original image and a subway image together.

I used the color balance tool and the brightness contrast tool to make the images look as though they fit together.

I placed the bum into the image.

using the burn and dodge tools I gave the bum some shadows and Highlights. I also adjusted his brightness contrast and color balance to make him look like he is more part of the image.

Here i placed the window and handle on the door.

Here I placed the grafitti anarchy symbol and changed its color I also placed an exit sign above the door.

I had to remove the bum and the door details because they were copyrighted images, so I removed the bum and decided to draw the door details using photoshop. I started with a green rectangle as a base for the push handle.

I then gave the push handle a gradient overlay to make it look like metal.

In this step I reduced the saturation of the push handle, gave it a bit of noise and also gave it a gaussian blur to make it fit the image.

Here I created the window a light green rectangle with a bit of dark green at the bottom to hint at stairs.

I then gave the window some noise and a gaussian blur to make it fit the image.
