1-placed sky over background source and blended using soft eraser
2- seperated the land and colorized green
3- gave sky on background source a pink tint using hue & saturation

1- used clone tool to remove straw from scarecrow
2- cut old mans head and placed in coat and hat
3 - placed old lady next to him adding some shadow.
4 - desaturated all the images ready for coloring.

On a new layer, set to overlay I colored the various parts of the image with a small soft brush

I then used a soft eraser on the edges

I then used hue and saturation & brightness & contrast to neautralize the color of the entire image.
