simple model using cube as base for the lamp body and the room...
extrude for mirror...
extrude and delete face for window...
couple of anim deformation and tweaking and extrude for the body... sphere for the head, cube extrude for the book, curves and loft for the seat... convert to to the polygon and extrude for the pillow...

volume light for the lamp, spot lights for the bounces, directional light for sky light...
area light at the father end as seen in mirror... maya software render, with raytracing on...
