This is the inspirationship. I noticed that I miscounted at one spot but it turned out ok anyway, although the son commented how I was not so good in making a replica worthy his work...hrmpf...

I used "view grid" so that I could keep the size right, starting to do simple guideblocks.

Adding guideblocks and circles.

Finally the ship looked like this.

Adding small circles with bewel/emboss-effect.

Now adding a whole bunsch of "legomarked" circles and placing them all over the ship.

Adding the "controlpanel" wich is just a black area, added with colored details and some noice.

For the green "plate" I made a green set of "legocircles" placing them in lines.

Then a green plate underneath, wich I shaped the round edges with "shapetool".

Now some shadow on the legobuttons.

And then placing the ship on it.
For final result I added some shadows.
