step 1 of 7

Everything begins with this image. Extend the canvas in height by 4 inches and create tiles approximately the same size as what is in the original pic. Add a background layer and fill it with a color sampled from the white in the pic. New layer, using foreground to transparent in a darker tone of the shadowed side of the pic, drag about halfway across the canvas to give the same kind of shading.

step 2 of 7

Add a color overlay on the tiles, I chose mine as red. Add a bevel and stroke. Mask out the original tiles so that everything looks fairly uniform, carefully masking around the elements on the counter as well. Using a lower opacity masking, the coke glass maintains it's transparency to make the red tiles visible while still having the glass.

step 3 of 7

On the clock pic, I removed it from the background it was on and pasted it on my main pic placing it on the tiled wall. I removed the tail pendulum and replaced it with the antique hammer. created a smart object from the two then duplicate and fill with black. Add gaussian blur, move to the right and down a bit, reducing the opacity for the shadow.

step 4 of 7

In preparation for the cup and plate, select out the hamburger, and remove it from pic. This is then replaced with the cup and plate that I removed from it's background and pasted into the place.

step 5 of 7

With the dentures in the glass, I removed it from it's original background and placed it in the main pic. Add layer mask, then, with a low opacity brush, mask over the areas of the glass that need to be transparent. This keeps the cup in tact while given the needed transparency for the counter elements and tiles show. New layer below the cup, paint in a bit of a soft shadow, lower opacity.

step 6 of 7

Loosely select out the swimming duckling with lasso and about a 50 px feather, copy over to main pic above the cup layer

Creation of Time for Duck Soup: Step 6

step 7 of 7

Add a layer mask and with soft, low opacity brush set at multiply mask out the water area and this will help it to blend with the liquid in the cup and still keep the reflection and swirls.
