Used pen tool to separate egg from BG. Copied to its own layer, and rotated/scaled.

Added an layer underneath, created a gradient, and then two layers of stars, created with brushes (set with size and scatter jitter maxed). Blurred one layer of stars to create depth.

Converted egg to smart object, then applied an artistic fresco filter to give the craft some texture and depth.

Painted in upper shadow on "back" of spaceship, since no light sources are above it. Then, applied a rust texture for more visual interest.

New layer, gave it a "glossy chrome" style, then used pen tool to create landing legs. On 2 other layers, created each the window, and its frame. gave the frame a fabric style and applied a metal looking gradient. Added "United States" by typing on a path, then ratserizing text and used warp tool to create circular effect at edge of ship.

Applied same rust texture to landing fins, as well as dodge/burn shading, and a shadow from the left leg on the ship itself.

Used pen tool to create paths for rivet placement, then used a rivet brush with specific spacing settings to stroke pen path with brush.

Added sun glint to window (brush). That's it!
