Step one, cat with no accessories.

I added the hat. Rotated it to fit the cats' head and erased a bit of it at the ear.

I added the boots, shaped them so they fitted the legs and fixed the edges.

Then I added the cane. I rotated it to fit the image and fixed the edges.

The final product. Background added. I painted the cats' eye with the brush tool, added shadows with the brush tool and "layer style".
