step 1 of 9

First I created my 3d simulated type.

Creation of Mr Bichie: Step 1

step 2 of 9

I created a background using noise, emboss then motion blur.

Creation of Mr Bichie: Step 2

step 3 of 9

I made a selection of my type and used an emboss style on the background layer.

Creation of Mr Bichie: Step 3

step 4 of 9

I duped my background to a new layer, used the filter twirl, set the blending mode to overlay added a bit of shadow, then added a colour layer also set to overlay.

Creation of Mr Bichie: Step 4

step 5 of 9

Next I gave my type layer an inner and outer glow.

Creation of Mr Bichie: Step 5

step 6 of 9

I added some fx, I duped my glowing type layer and used the twirl filter and also ripple filter which I reduced in opacity. I made a new layer and combined all elements (command+alt+shift+e) removed all colour blurred and used spherise. Then changed the blending modes to overlay.

Creation of Mr Bichie: Step 6

step 7 of 9

I didn't want for anyone to see my username in the new entry previews that appear on the right so I swapped a few letters around and uploaded.

Creation of Mr Bichie: Step 7

step 8 of 9

Once my entry had gone from the new entry preview column, I reverted back to my username. I kept my alternative text which I blurred and reduced the opacity. I set this layers blending mode to overlay.

Creation of Mr Bichie: Step 8

step 9 of 9

On a new layer, I added some coloured spots and a few white dots then set this layer to.... yes you guessed it Multiply. Only kidding, my favourite blending mode Overlay and thats about it.
