step 1 of 4

Some kind of texture mapping I made this for an old contest I never finished.

I think that I used this tutorial that I got from pxleyes:

sources used for this step:

step 2 of 4

Same as the first step but used noise to manipulate the mesh, I think.

step 3 of 4

Add a Mesh Sphere. Add vertex group. Weight paint the entire thing.

In particle system, slect hair. Select 13000 Amount and 5 segments. Normal 0.040.

Select particle mode. Select "N," select Comb to comb down the hair.

Shift>D and move along the Z axis for the body. Color the fuzzy balls fuschia or whatever color you want. Add Mesh Spheres for the eyes and cylinders and spheres for the arms/hands.

step 4 of 4

Use this tutorial from the pxleyes website for the floating stars:

http://semiprotuts.com/blender/make-an-exploding-star-deep-in-space-with-blender

Adjust the values to make the stars the way you want them.

The background is a jpeg of a 3D image that I also made in Blender. The textures used here are my own creation.
