I took a selection of the crosswalk and used define pattern in the edit menu.
then used the colour range selection to select the black of the zebra
and used my selected pattern over that area.

I then did the same for the white areas, using the white brick from the cross walk pattern.
you'll notice that I changed the brick in the black section as I didn't like the way the pattern turned out. I just decreased the size of my selected area.
I then adjusted the levels and vibrence.

Final result
I forgot to add that i changed the brick layers to pin light, that helped pick up the texture of the zebras fur.
