Crop source pic to 1600 by 1200px and centre it appropriately...

Add pic of lion...

Erase parts you don't want...

Use smudge brush and begin to create some fur from the sides...
step 5 of 6
continue this process, also change between soft an hard brushes fro smudging...also find correct perspective on lion...

Add some whiskers by using the pen tool, and stroke with 3px hard brush..position them...Further add some shadows...
