A Work in Progress: Brutal escape

on the first layer i drew a rough sketch of the horse and some features of the bkg.

than i turned rough layer opacity to 50, and added some details on another layer on top.

i created a third layer and painted a uniform color to the whole body

then i drew shadows and muscles with a darker tone on a fourth layer leaving the sketch for extra shadows effects and a sence of dynamism. notice that the tail
and fur have been drawn along the whole process.

i created a new layer for the dark blue bkg.

at this point i felt like it was time to begin with the bkg painting, so i drew on a new layer some lines with a soft large brush.

then using the Polygonal lasso tool, on a new layer behind the lines i made the fence shapes and filled them with a brown color

using the brush, dodge and burn tools i began painting the bkg on one layer, and the fence to which i added an outer glow effect.

i continued to paint the bkg going from one layer to another, adding some lightings to the horse, then i created some stars on the bkg with the brush
