First of all the cup is duplicated (use alt key), then horizontally flipped (edit/transform/hor.flip), then two pieces moved together then merged.

Next a face was created using the liquify tool. Eye will be worked on later along with shadows. Also, edges along top and bottom of cup will be refined and curved using the eraser and cloning tools.

Here the face and handle have been trimmed with eraser tool.

Cloning has been started on side of cup to make it look like a curved unit.

Cloning on side of cup has been finished and more work is begun on face.

The cup is now moved over the girl ready to be sized.

Cup is now scaled down to fit girl's hand. (edit/transform/scale)

Cup is now rotated to better position it in girl's hand. Scaling might be necessary also to get it just the right size. (edit/transform/rotate or scale tools)

The background is cloned here to omit some of the background distractions behind girl's head. Portion of handle where it goes inside her hand is removed with eraser tool, and eye is added with brush tool.

Using the smudge tool and brush tools, the ketchup color is extended into cup's 'mouth'.

Final shadows are burned in where needed.
