Cut out the wheel using the select and the eraser tool.

Changed the bg into a sunset scene using the gradient tool, and created the clouds with a scatterbrush. Smudge the clouds also with a scatterbrush.

Removed the shine from the wheel and changed the color to match the colors from a sunset.

Sketched the bird and pirate silhouette.

Started putting in details.

More details zooming in and using a smaller brush, 2-3 px.

Flattened the layers I had and used color change and the filter paint daubs to make my own illustration work fit better with the wheel,

Added some cannonsmoke to finish the illustration.
