I copied and pasted a nub from the mushroom and smudged and flipped and smudged some more--dodge and burn

I added a background with flood fill and paintbrush

I copied the green part from the source and made a stem - dodge and burn

I masked the mushroom and copied it twice--added shadows to flower, lowered opacity of layers and added snow with paintbrush
