A Work in Progress: Horse Tail Dragon

rearanged the shroom to get a dragon.....this was my first idea

This is what i came up with after doing some saturation changes using the layer mask techniques

I wasnt happy after looking more closely at what i had done so I went back a step and tore the head off and rearranged the body

I made a new head from the shroom parts and drew in the eyes

I needed rocks so I used this shot of mine from Castle Craggs park in Nor. Cal.
I used live trace on the photo to simplify the rocks and remove the sky

I wanted some sky so I used another sunrise photo of mine.
here it is in all its uncut glory

Combining the rocks with the sunset I then placed the dragon onto the new background

Using hue and saturation chages to get the image dark enough to my liking I then used a lens flare in the sky and painted in the starts , teeth and finished the eyes.
