A Work in Progress: Paris

Quickly painted a background using soft edged brushes and texture brush for foreground (All from Ps)

Typed a large upper case "A" applied lens correction with horizontal distortion at max X3. Mirrored the "A" and darkened the back edges and left hand "A" slightly.

Typed lines of "A"in the same colour as large "A", rasterized and transformed the lines to fit in large "A" structure. Applied layer effects, drop shadow.

step 4 of 9

Typed an "l", rotated 90 degrees, typed a line of "A"s to fit within the "l", applied drop shadow and transformed to make the arches. Warped the whole tower to give curved edges.

Used dodge and burn to add shadows.

step 6 of 9

Typed a "J", flipped upside down, mirrored to make lamppost shape and applied bevel and emboss. Light bulbs were made by typing "0" and applying outer glow in layer styles.

Added some buildings by typing "l" for main shape and "......" (Fullstops/periods) in white for windows

More buildings added in the background, blurred and lightened. Lots of copying of layers.

Added light on top, lightened the horizon and final saturation and curves adjustments.
