Extracted the marionette from the source file, edited his arm and eyes.

Added in the fairy marionette and re-sized, rotated and cropped her to fit.

Added a glow around the fairy's wings, and a shadow for the arm.

Merged a copy of the layers and duplicated it. Did a Box Blur of about 3px on the top layer, and with a layer mask removed the blur from the marionettes.

Lastly I did a Vibrance adjustment over my layers and desaturated the colours and again with a layer mask brought some vibrance and saturation back in some places on the marionettes.
