Knocked out the pen and added four layers on to the base image.

used transform on the four layers to position and squeeze the pen tips into place

Simply used Hue/Saturation adjustment layers to add some color the the four pens

Almost finished. Used a displacement mask to add some contour to the edges and lines. Smoothed these edges with some Gaussian blur.
In the final image I used a combination of smudge and mask to blend the pens into the landscape.
