step 8 of 10

Clothing is now adjusted to new girl's body using edit/transform/distort tool and doing some cloning to complete it.

Creation of Renaissance Melody: Step 8

step 9 of 10

Reddish leaves from contest source photo are masked out and various leaves duplicated using alt key. Some are also reversed with edit/transform/flip tool and also rotate tool. Several are also changed for opacity by clicking on the layer being worked on in the layer window. The window that comes up allows you to change the opacity of that particular layer. After applying some leaves that have been made almost transparent, solid leaves are applied on layers on top of them.

Creation of Renaissance Melody: Step 9

step 10 of 10

To complete the entry, Flute is airbrushed with a light spray of gray to dull it - as it is away from the light. Face is also darkened somewhat and a layer of orange (at 22% opacity) applied to make her look as though she might have reflected light from the sunset, or perhaps from a fire reflecting on her face. A few touchups were added to her eyes and face, but basically I wanted to leave a natural look to her face.
