Select the ear and paste in on as new layer on drum.

Resize

Clean up the ear using the eraser tool.

Lower the opacity of the layer so you know where to place the ear. Line it up on the bottom and start erasing around the edge of the line on the drum.

Using the push/liquify tool, bring the ear out to the drum line.

Repeat pushing the ear to the line on the drum.

Clean up around the line again using the erase tool.

Bring the opacity up again so you can see what it looks like cleaned up.

Smudge areas that look a little rough.

Make the drum layer actice and start cloning the drum to get rid of the design inside.

Duplicate the ear layer. Make the original "multiply" blend mode at 45 % and the duplicated "screen" blend mode at 45%.

Copy and paste as new layer the ear again and clean it up, rotate, resize, deform and push as needed to fit the yellow designs on the side of the drum. I cropped and rotated the whole picture afterward to finish it off.
