Drew my man using the pen tool to create a path and then simply filled.

Moved the 'head' to the ground.
Created a 'plate' by simply drawing a border then adding a drop shadow and a small bevel...

Added some 'dirt' to the plate with brush tool. Painted in brownish colour and lowered oppacity.
Can't remember where I got this brush (got too many to remember) - but it was free so just google for it.

Created a 'wood' background by simply dilling with a brown colour, then rendering fibers and then TADA!
