used the hut reference image, (see links) to shape the grass into a hut, Added some dodge and burn, and layered quite a lot.

The foreground grass is the pond scum to make the grass, simply used the smudge tool to shapoe the grass then used the hue/saturation adjustment to try and match the background grass.

I used the running man reference phot to shape the man, then used the pond scum as his texture, with some dodge and burn and a copied layer set to multiply achieved the skin tone I wanted.

The pig is pond scum again shaped from the reference image (see links) used hue and saturation to colour it then used smudge to create the fur.
The grass skirt and armband and headdress is made from the grass and just shaped with the transform and scale tools.

The shadows are painted on and reduced with a low opacity eraser tool.
