stroke the paths made with the pen tool, i made each piece on a new layer

also, i used the fill option for each path, also on a new layer for each

now, i select each fill layer, as "load selection"
now on 2 more layers, 1 black, and 1 white, for each piece i use my tablet and blur to make each of the highlights and shadows
