took a rectangular section of the source and copied, flipped, and merged

i honestly don't even remember how i created this layer...it's either a distorted brush, or a blurred and distorted version of the merged source layer....but i layered this on screen

this is the merged source layer with a heavy radial blur, which i layered on color dodge
step 5 of 9
i layered a green fill layer over these on color burn
step 6 of 9
saved all my brushwork onto one layer, to avoid having to upload 20 or more seperate steps....
I used a selection mask to create the human form, and layered some smoke brushes and lightning brushes into it
