I selected the flower and duplicated the petals various times to create a seemingly complete flower

step 2 of 10

With the pen tool i made a curved selection and filled it with green to create the stalk

step 3 of 10

I used the dodge and burn tools to create a more 3D feel

Here i extracted the statue and added the flower

I added a shadow for the flower

step 6 of 10

I placed the statue into the abandone railway station and matched the lighting using the dodge and burn tools. i also experimented with various blend modes to get the feel of both images to match

step 7 of 10

I added fog on the flowers and light rays from the window, however i wanted these to be fairly subtle

step 8 of 10

So here i added a vignette to tone down the harsh white. I also cut off some final steps in which i changed the image into a slightly brown colour and also gave it a very small amount of soft glow. I did this by duplicating the layer and desaturating it, i then increased the contrast and changed the blend mode to hard light. i then blurred that layer 4.5 pixles using Gaussian Blur (filter-blur-gaussian blur) and then finally reducing the opacity.
